It's always sad when a friend decides it's time to leave DC...so the natural reaction is..."Let's throw a party!"
Which is exactly what we did to celebrate our group's friendship with Katie Korb.
Katie moved to DC almost four years ago and her friendship has been invaluable to me. Not only have I known her through my DC years, but we also went to Ole Miss together.
She recently got a wonderful new job in her hometown of Atlanta, working for a health care company. As sad as all of us are that she is leaving, we could not be more excited for her and proud of her!
To say "farewell" and send her off in style, we hosted a brunch!
The food was delicious and the company was wonderful.
