On July 2, 1776, a group of brave patriots gathered in Philadelphia to voice their frustrations with tyranny and injustice. Two days later, the document was publicly read and The United States of America declared its independence. 235 years later Kern, his parents, and I spent the day in this historic city and celebrated our Nation's birthday.
